There are two types of meeting; a
Lodge of Instruction and Lodge night. The Lodge
of Instruction is a fairly informal opportunity
to carry out a rehearsal for the more formal
Lodge night. A masonic ceremony is like a one-act
play, so it is obviously important to rehearse
the ceremony. We meet every Monday
evening (except Bank Holidays) for a Lodge of
Instruction at 7.30pm. In addition the Lodge has
its 'regular meeting' on the first Friday of
every month except January and August. Lodge
night starts at 7pm prompt. We meet at Greenhead
Masonic Hall, which located opposite Greenhead
College.
Installation,
which is effectively our annual general meeting,
is in December. This is when the new Worshipful
Master for the year formally takes office.
Installation normally starts at 3.30pm. February
is normally a 'domestic' evening. Past Master's
night is either September or October. November is
Scroll Night. This is when we approve the person
who will be the Worshipful Master for the
forthcoming year and usually receive an informal
talk on the work of masonic charities.
Our
